标题: Vermeil工艺介绍
Vermeil (pronounced vehr-MAY), also known as silver gilt is a combination of sterling silver, gold, and other precious metals. It is commonly used as a component in jewelry. A typical example is sterling silver coated with 14-carat gold. To be considered vermeil, the gold must also be at least 10-carat and be at least 1.5 micrometres thick. Sterling silver covered with another metal cannot be called vermeil.Vermeil can be produced by either fire-gilding or electrolysis. The original fire-gilding process was developed in France in the mid-1700s; however, France later banned the production of vermeil because over time artisans developed blindness due to mercury involved in the process. 回slaoao, 凡是称之为Vermeil工艺的，都是以纯银为底，在纯银上面玩金子。gold plated一般底都是很普通的金属，比如锌镍铜等金属，如果您能看懂英文，下面从国外珠宝知识网站的一段介绍将会告诉你，gold plate, gold fill(包金）， vermeil的区别，以及各自的优缺点。通常按照常理，如果钢笔是使用vermeil工艺制成的，生产厂家一定会强调出来，通常这是商品的一个亮点。这也是价格会高的原因。 <img class="?????" height="481" alt="" hspace="0" src="http://gem-fashion.com/files/images/Gold%20Plating.jpg" width="265" align="left" border="0"/>No matter how many new <a class="?????" href="http://magazine.gem-fashion.com/jewelry-metals.html">metals and materials</a> appear in the jewelry market, people will never feel tired of <a class="?????" href="http://magazine.gem-fashion.com/gold.html">gold</a>. ros: Vermeil jewelry wears off less than gold plated one Cons: No wonder that the price is also high. And you should be aware that although the sterling silver layer is covered with gold, it might tarnish and thus darken the gold layer.

谢谢LZ!在下正好从事珠宝行业,很多外单在国内加工,但没听说过那家工厂用Vermeil工艺.AG925,白色18K黄金,PT900,950,PD等贵金属表面,一般都要镀铑,工厂称为电白工艺.把金箔预先碾薄到100万分之一英寸厚(约为:2.5微米),再包到银上面,似乎是古老的工艺.看了上面的介绍,感觉主要区别是抗磨损程度.都是电镀,但质量不一样.各种名词只是拉开产品档次的手段,比如"高级树脂"...

现在把纯银镀金（当然现在是电镀）都叫做vermeilM700and M900当然也是vermeil其实vermeil主要还是强调的 925纯银的底子。

纯银饰品镀白金（white gold) 或者其他白色贵金属的是很多的，但也有些是高抛光的。个人更喜欢后者的那种温润的银白色，不太喜欢那种镀得白亮亮的类似于镀铬的效果。上次hua兄出过一个dunhill的纯银笔架，据说就是完全靠高抛光到那种亮闪闪的效果的。vermeil的主要原因可能还是防止氧化和美观。

普通925银高抛光后,几分钟变黑.所以有些银首饰做旧.防止银氧化,是行业热点,仅高抛光无镀层,国内工艺还做不到.dunhill用的925银,配方应该不一样.

T900高抛不镀,应该可行,成本会高一点.

MB将所有它的纯银底的，金色外表（当然就是金属金）的产品，都称为vermeil，什么袖口，领带夹，笔。。。。我接触了大量的这些东东4810举摄政王还不如举路椅十四为例好

它的中文产品目录一概称呼纯银包金但，同款的白色，只会称为纯银镀铂，奇怪

包金镀金没啥区别的啦。现在包金＝镀金。只有老的51笔套上表明了包金的重量，黄金的成色的那种，16K, 1/8,那种才算真正意义上的包金啦没有这样的字样的一概等于镀金。

每个国家行业标准不同.美国生产的包金钢笔必须注明其特性及K金所占比例，譬如(1/10.14K.GF)型包金笔帽，即包14K黄金材料，它的包金量须占整个笔帽重量的1/10，否则便是不合格的。倘若笔帽包金材料采用10K以下的黄金，或者包金重量不到整个笔帽的1/20，是不得用“包金”这一名称的。包金钢笔的耐磨度比镀金高很多，一些用了几十年的包金钢笔，外表色泽依然如故...和包金相比,镀金的镀层不需要太厚，一般只要达到2微米就可以了。但是现在很多国家规定，镀金的镀层必须达到10微米以上，才合格... [em01]

没切中肯綮，关键是早期（不是指古董，古董我不懂）的MB包金都差，镀层薄。适用与其他产品工艺[em09][em12][em10][em08]

1931 toledo上面没有925字样，应该是遵循古法用的金箔敲进去的。但是没有任何成色或者贵金属标记。1931 gold笔杆上面有清楚的Au750, 18k的标记。
